Mr R T Diggory - Consultant Surgeon based in our UK-based centre provides
one of the most individualized, comprehensive long-term aftercare programs to meet our patient's
needs.
All his team are staff members of Princess Royal Hospital, Telford.
Obesity surgery aftercare is mainly performed in the private area of the hospital, known
as Apley Ward and Apley Clinic. The private facilities have the back up of all NHS facilities
on site including 24-hour medical cover.

- Currently Consultant surgeon in Upper Gastrointestinal and Laparoscopic
Surgery, Shrewsbury and Telford Hospitals NHS Trust, Shropshire
- Graduated with honours in Surgery from Dundee University in 1977.
- Completed surgical training in Bristol, Dundee, Liverpool and Tokyo
in 1993
- Fellow of the Royal Colleges of Surgeons of England and Edinburgh.
Awarded a Doctorate in Medicine (M.D.) for research into Gastrointestinal
motility disorders in 1989
- Consultant General Surgeon in Fife, Scotland from 1993 - 2001
- Critical care tutor for the Royal College of Surgeons of England and
Examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh
- Member of the Association of Upper GI Surgeons, the Association of
Laparoscopic Surgeons and the British Obesity Surgeons Society
